Red Nose Day 2017

A Message from Ms. Letita Smith
Bahamas Red Nose Day Organization

“Train up a child the way he should go and when he gets old, he shall not depart from it.” With this sentiment in mind, I write to request your assistance with realizing the dream of a now twelve year old little girl who is driven by being the change she wants to see in the world while adhering to her positive training.

Caden Smith a 7th grade, honor roll student at St. Anne’s High School and a humanitarian who has been involved in many service oriented groups including being the founder of The Bahamas Red Nose Day Organization. Due to a heart-wrenching experience of seeing a man eating out of a public trash can, she decided to start a campaign along with other young persons to assist with fighting hunger in our Country. As a result, Caden along with a group of young people joined the International Red Nose Day Organization which fights to eradicate hunger in the world. More information about the Red Nose Day Organization can be viewed by opening the following hyperlink: http://www.rednoseday.com.

With the support of The Director of Social Services, The Minister of Education and The Prime Minister of The Bahamas, it has been proclaimed that February 19th, 2016 marked the first Annual Bahamas Red Nose Day. This year Bahamas Red Nose Day will be Friday February 17th, 2017.

The Bahamas Red Nose Day Organization is requesting permission for all members of your organization to wear a RED NOSE and T-Shirt On February 17th, 2017. Funds raised are allocated to the National Lunch Program which is presently providing lunches for over 3000 students. It is the goal that these funds will allow the program to expand to provide breakfast as well. In addition, we are asking everyone in The Bahamas to wear a NOSE on February 17th, 2017. You may also assign other days in February for a NOSE to be worn.

If you are interested in purchasing Red Nose T-shirts or noses, please contact Mrs. Letitia Smith (242) 426-7754 or via email at bahamasrednose@gmail.com. NOSES are sold at a cost of Two Dollars each ($2.00).

Thank you for your continued support.
