Principal's Message

“Our children can begin to experience fulfillment as soon as we choose to create environments permitting them to do so”. Bob. Samples

It is my honour to welcome you to this website dedicated to presenting a visual tour of St. Anne’s School, the School of Champions and Home of the Mighty Blue Waves.

St. Anne's School opened its doors in January 1955 with 26 students and four teachers in the garage of the Rectory. Its founder, the late Canon David John Pugh, was the priest in charge of the Parish Church of St. Anne. His motivating force was an incident which occurred in the early days of his Ministry. He asked a boy of about fifteen years of age what his name was, and being unable to understand his reply, Canon Pugh asked him to write it down. Canon Pugh was quite surprised when the boy burst into tears. After much gentle persuasion, the young boy revealed to his great shame that he could not write.
Currently operated by the Anglican Central Education Authority, St. Anne’s School caters to students ages three through eighteen. Our philosophy is based on the abiding belief that all children can learn. Therefore, successive administrators have provided a positive and caring school environment allowing faculty to teach, and our students to fulfil their God- given and unique potential for academic and personal growth.

Today, with a student population of over 700 and just over 60 trained professionals, the School has an enviable reputation in the community for its academic excellence. Locally and internationally, you can find persons in all professions who are proud graduates of St. Anne’s School.

Through our varied course offerings, programmes, partnerships with parents and the community, it is our intention to *deliver a well-rounded educational product that fosters the development of students’ spiritual, academic, physical, social and emotional well-being, thereby affording their relevancy and adaptability for future citizenship and life in an ever-changing global environment.

We are proud of our heritage and pledge to continue the pursuit of excellence By the Grace of God.
